Cockroaches are very disgusting insects that no one likes – when you see one in your house, you are determined to do anything it takes to eliminate them. They are omnivores and it’s why they can be found anywhere in the home feeding on everything that they find.
Usually people resolve their cockroach problem with some dangerous pesticides that could stay in your house longer than it takes to get rid of the pests, but you need to know that there’s a simple non-toxic mixture that will do a great job. The only disadvantage of the method is that it takes 3-4 weeks to work, however is much safer for your home and family than using some pesticides.
Here is how to prepare it:
- 30-50 gr. of Boric acid powder
- Latex gloves
- Raw egg yolk
The Preparation method
Mix the boric acid powder and the egg yolk, then put on the gloves and make some small balls from the mixture. Leave them to dry for one hour and they are ready to use.
Before starting with the procedure, you should make sure there aren’t any food leftovers where the cockroaches reside, therefore you need to clean your house well. It’s also very important to make sure there isn’t any water left behind that can draw out the pests, which means you should check your pipes for leakage and replace them if necessary. Once that’s taken care of, you can start putting the boric acid balls in the house – put them in the areas frequented by the pests. You should pay special attention to the dark corners and crevices in the walls. Put some cube under your fridge as well and wait – you will see the first results in only a couple of days, and in only 3-4 weeks you will completely get rid of the pests.
